Organised manual matching

No live bank feed; CSV, then a review

VAT guidance treats bank statements as records you keep. Fawtar does not connect to a Saudi bank to fetch transactions. On Business you upload a CSV; amount and reference are suggested against open invoices; nothing posts until you approve it. A customer transfer-proof is a different path. This page is not a guide to any named bank.

Fawtar at fawtar.app is an independent Saudi product. It is not ZATCA’s Fatoora platform, not Fatoora.app, not Oman’s Fawtara programme, and not Jordanian Fawtara products. This page is a reading aid. Last verified 2026-08-29. It is not tax advice.

Why the statements stay with you

The input-tax guideline lists bank statements among the records kept for six years with invoices. Uploading a CSV for matching does not move the archive duty onto Fawtar, and it does not replace keeping the original statement.

This page is not a bank manual

We do not name a bank or guess its file columns. If your bank’s CSV export changes, matching still depends on the file remaining a table of movements. See the Arabic matching article for the upload steps.

What Fawtar does here

After you approve a match, the payment enters collections and the balance updates. There is no promise that every statement line finds an invoice. Unmatched rows stay for review.

We do not advertise a live connection to any Saudi bank. Export a CSV from your bank and upload it.

Does a transfer post before I approve it?

No. A suggestion is not a posting.
