Fawtar’s Accept button is not a tax event
A quotation is not an electronic invoice and it does not join the invoice sequence. Fawtar’s accept control stores the customer’s decision (accept, reject, or request a change) in the product. This page does not advise on contract law. A tax or simplified invoice is issued when the supply occurs or when consideration is received under Article 53 — not merely because a quote was sent.
Fawtar at fawtar.app is an independent Saudi product. It is not ZATCA’s Fatoora platform, not Fatoora.app, not Oman’s Fawtara programme, and not Jordanian Fawtara products. This page is a reading aid. Last verified 2026-08-29. It is not tax advice.

What this page does not decide
Does electronic acceptance form a civil obligation? That depends on the wording, the conditions, and the applicable law. This is not legal advice. Write validity, scope and payment terms clearly, keep evidence of the decision, and ask an adviser if a dispute is plausible.
Acceptance, then the deposit
If money is received on acceptance you are in Article 53: an electronic invoice at receipt, not a voucher alone. Fawtar’s quote schedule creates collection requests after the invoice; it does not replace it.
What Fawtar does here
Pro: an accept link with no customer account, linked revisions, then an invoice and a payment schedule. The public quote generator tests a PDF; it does not store acceptance on your account until you create one.
