Entries not written twice · Business plan

Recurring accounting entries

Rent, depreciation, prepaid expenses, and accruals schedule to be posted automatically on its due date every month, quarter, or year.

Creating an account does not charge you. Business costs 99 SAR per month including VAT, with automatic renewal, by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Some entries don't change: office rent, prepaid insurance premium, monthly accruals. Writing them manually each period is repetitive and easy to forget, and forgetting them means an incomplete month in reports. Schedule them once, and Fawtar verifies their balance before saving, then posts them on time.

What do you get?

Verify balance before saving

No entry is saved where debit does not equal credit. The difference appears to you while writing instead of being rejected after saving.

Flexible cycles

Weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual, starting from the date you specify.

At the due period date

The entry is posted on the date of the period it was due, not on the date it was executed, so figures do not slip into the following month.

Immediate transfer when needed

Don't wait for the nightly cycle: post the entry now with a click, without risk of posting it twice.

How does the feature work?

  1. 1

    Write journal entry lines

Select accounts from your chart of accounts and specify the debit and credit for each line.

  2. 2

    Set the cycle and beginning

Choose the recurrence and first execution date.

  3. 3

    Review in the ledger

The posted entry appears like any other entry, and you can pause or delete the schedule without affecting what was posted.

Frequently asked questions

What if you delete the recurring entry?

Only the schedule is deleted. Posted entries remain in the general ledger; deleting a template must not change a closed month’s figures.

Can a month be posted twice?

No. Each period has a unique identifier, so rerunning on the same day reissues the original entry and does not create a duplicate.

What if an account used in the entry is deleted?

It's not allowed to delete. The account used in a recurring entry is protected, so the error doesn't appear on transfer day.

What if the entry is unbalanced?

Won't be saved at all. If it breaks later, it's skipped in execution and the reason is logged without stopping other entries.
